Be A Champ! Sporting Legends

We are pleased to offer our Be A Champ! Sporting Legends workshops, which we are offering for primary school children, tailoring the workshop to each year group.

These workshops give children the opportunity to travel in a time machine, exploring the stories of international sporting legends. The journey will begin with a trip to Muhammed Ali’s house, visiting his famous trophy room before having a football match with Arthur Wharton, the first black professional footballer, and practicing their high jumps with Alice Coachman, the first black woman to win an Olympic Gold Medal. At the end of the workshop, the children will travel back to 2016 and meet Usain Bolt to discuss his plans for the future, ending with a race to see who can log the quickest time.

Please note that we place great emphasis on safeguarding the children we work with. All our workshop leaders and assistants are therefore fully trained and have valid enhanced DBS certificates.
